3D - Hard Surface Modeling



Good. Now that we have your attention, we will make the bold assumption that you will read the content of this paragraph.

We do not care if you have 15+ years of experience in working for Microsoft, DreamWorks or Blizzard. We do not care what is the university you graduated from, nor how much money you think you should be paid. 

ArtForge is a starting company that is developing its debut product and we are looking for people that can contribute to this project and hopefully become co-owners of the company.

  • Can work directly with level design

  • Has development experience modeling and texturing assets using Maya, ZBrush, and Substance painter/designer or similar software

  • A good understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding modeling

  • Eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating painted texture maps

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Darksiders 2 art style and universe (Lead artist - Joe Madureira)

  • Thinks of themselves as a game developer first, and an artist second

  • Passion for film, animation and video games 

  • Serve as an active participant in team art discussions, critiques and reviews.

  • Can work alone and in a team

  • Can handle with ease verbal and written English communication


  • Can handle Organic Modeling

  • Familiar with Unreal Engine 4 materials

  • Familiar with Unreal Engine 4 lighting

  • Familiar with Unreal Engine 4 level design tools


  • You will lay the foundations of a starting company for its entire upcoming journey

When you write your Resume / Cover letter, do not make it too mainstream or follow the rules of how they are written too strickly. Instead, put a pinch of yourself. Write them in a way that will help us understand your true personality and intentions. Avoid using superlatives like "I thrive in working in a fast-paced environment" or " I am a team player". You don't know what we need, so do not pretend to be someone you are not. Instead, be as much yourself as you can be. This is your only way to stand out from the crowd! :)
